Kirkwood Corners and Pine Rock Manor provide a full-spectrum of care including traditional assisted living and the specialized care needed by residents progressing through  all stages of memory impairment including Alzheimer's and other types of Dementia. Our guiding principle is to keep our residents engaged in meaningful activities in a safe, secure setting where they benefit from companionship and socialization.  

Our Special Care Units are staffed with individuals who are specially trained to work with people who suffer from varying degrees of memory disorder. We understand their unique challenges and strive to promote their health and wellness, prevent illness and injury and quickly and efficiently treat all residents when symptoms develop.  

The transition to an assisted living community can often be distressing to a new resident.  In order to best manage the transition, our compassionate staff takes the time to gather specific lifestyle information about each resident in order to individually cater to his/her needs from the moment they arrive.  

Once settled, we offer a structured daily routine, which creates a familiar, comforting environment for our residents. Additionally, our activities reflect the routines that each individual resident has established over a lifetime and focus on activities that help people succeed at familiar tasks.

Our commitment to the safety of our residents is unyielding.  Both facilities are electronically secured and our highly trained staff is adept at managing the difficult situations and behaviors that are common with the residents suffering with these progressive disorders.
